Track What Matters is operated by GPS Insight, Inc. GPS Insight sells fleet tracking and field service software, and its products appear in comparisons on this site alongside competing platforms. That is a conflict of interest, and rather than hide it we disclose it at the top of every comparison, provider, best-of and pricing page. Track What Matters is not a new brand. Track What Matters, L.L.C., based in Argyle, Texas, did business as Rhino Fleet Tracking — a GPS fleet-tracking provider serving small and mid-sized businesses. In January 2020, the company completed a majority interest sale to Accel-KKR, a technology-focused investment firm. In May 2021, Accel-KKR acquired GPS Insight and merged it with two of its portfolio companies, InSight Mobile Data and Rhino Fleet Tracking, into a single business serving more than 11,000 accounts and 225,000 vehicles. Rhino Fleet Tracking continues to operate as a GPS Insight brand today, and the trackwhatmatters.com domain sat unused for several years before this relaunch.
In June 2026 we brought the name back for the thing it was always adjacent to: helping an operator work out which platform fits, before they talk to a salesperson. We're saying this plainly because an aged domain that changes purpose looks, from the outside, like a domain someone bought to reuse. It did not change hands — it has been part of this corporate family since 2020.
Fleet software is sold, not bought. Vendor sites list features and withhold prices, review sites are pay-to-play, and the platforms genuinely differ in ways that only matter once you know your own fleet. This site exists to make those differences legible: what each platform costs, what it does and does not include, and which situations it is the wrong choice for.
That last part is the test of whether a comparison site is worth anything. We aim to name the cases where a competing platform beats ours. If you find a page that does not do that, tell us — that's a defect, not a house style.
